The service
Validiris provides credential issuance and a public verification service. Verification is free and open to anyone. Issuing organisations access the service under an approved issuer account.
Issuer responsibilities
You are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of what you ask Validiris to attest.
You will only issue credentials you are entitled to issue, within your approved credential types.
You will keep your API key secret and revoke credentials that are no longer valid.
What Validiris provides
Validiris attests provenance and process — that an item was recorded, by whom, when, and that the record is unaltered. It does not guarantee that every underlying claim is true, and a badge is not a legal ruling. Service is provided "as is" during this pre-launch period.
Acceptable use
No unlawful, deceptive or infringing use. We may suspend an issuer that breaches these terms.
